Faith does what is right even though . . .

Others may feel uncomfortable (Abel/Cain)

It’s never been done before (Noah)

You don’t know the consequences (Abraham)

You won’t be rewarded until heaven (Abraham)

The promised results seem impossible (Sarah)

It is the hardest thing to do (Abraham)

Others scheme and do what is wrong (Isaac)

It goes against a human law (Moses’ parents/ Rahab)

You suffer positionally, financially, or physically (Moses)

You feel like giving up (Israelites crossing Red Sea0

You look ridiculous to others (Marching around Jericho)

Faith has eyes that see

The future rather than the present

The eternal rather than the temporary

Faith is mindful of

God’s sovereignty in this age

Christ’s kingdom and rewards in the age to come
