Provisions is the last section in the journal - the section I add to at this time of the year - sometime between Christmas and before scheduled life begins in the New Year.

I have enjoyed taking time to look back through the things I have prayed about during the year. I look back at my calendar and sometimes FB posts or emails.

I am asking: Where did I see God's hand moving in my life and my family's life? Where did I experience his steadfast love poured out to me? I narrow these moments/events down to 5-8 There is nothing special about that number. I want my children to read these some day. Too many and I think they'll give up reading. These I write down in the back of the journal. I use a different color pen each year, just to separate the lists.

I think this small discipline done once a year over many years will have a great culmative effect in generations to come. Better to do a little that you actually do, that to plan a great project that never comes to past.

"Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things, let him sonsider the steadfast love of the LORD." Psalm 107:43

This is also my favorite section artwork. I love the overflowing abundance that this

symbolizes. Hasn't the Lord's grace to us been abundant and overflowing?
