Praying for those who are "without God in this world" is very sobering. It definitely keeps me from mouthing trite words in prayer.

Verses that remind me that Jesus is my greatest treasure.

Having a system to help us learn to pray is a gift from God.

And for those that think their journal has to be perfect - I found a smear of blackberry jam on one of my pages this morning. Oops.

Sometimes we know a truth about God in our heads but not in our hearts.

Pouring out your heart to God is like talking to a good friend, the best of friends, who wants to hear all that is on your mind.

This is a prayer I wrote after a study on Hebrews 11.

Are all desires the same? Can I desire a good thing for a wrong reason? Can desiring a good thing become a bad thing?
